With the government furlough scheme coming to an end change is afoot.  Very soon, many organisations will have to face the inevitable consequence that they simply have to restructure their workforce, and team leaders will feel the pressure. We have experienced this situation many times before, most notably following the recession back in 2008-9. One of the most common practices when carrying out this type of exercise is replacing expensive, experienced managers with younger, less experienced and dare I say it “cheaper” ones.
